Absolutely fantastic! I left the gig grinning like a complete tit. Kudos to the Grannies for getting Shellac to come and play in Birmingham. It was a real treat. Now, hows about geting them back for Supersonic 2009?

Lightning Bolt were epicwin. Even if I did end up viewing the set from BEHIND the loudspeakers.
Pissed Jeans were terrifying. The frontman seemed to be getting smaller and smaller, and just when you thought he was going to disappear he suddenly exploded into an oversized screaming toddler. Holding the mic with his foot and gyrating wildly also ensured everybody in the crowd winced.
Wooden Shjips were (for lack of a better term) 'groovy' and Om were quite frankly cosmic. The guitarist seemed to like saying Antideluvian Seas a lot.

Was a great night, hope ya didn't get to many moans about the bar and the loo's, yes they could be a lot better - but hell there are places that charge a lot more for rubbish entertainment and get away with facilaties that are worse.

Sure as hell, didn't get in the way of my enjoyment - how wonderful were OM? and I'm a Shellac convert after that, actually all the bands were great!
