More top quality Birmingham based support acts have been confirmed for upcoming Capsule shows.
Einstellung join the bill for Tuesday 22nd May at Hare & Hounds. They will be playing with the mighty Harvey Milk and Grimpen Mire. Einstellung are a krautrock/shoegaze band who have been likened to My Bloody Valentine, Bardo Pond and Neu!. They released a double vinyl named ‘Wings of Desire’ on Capsule’s very own record label. Added to the Unsane + Big Business show is sludge duo Stinky Wizzleteat. United by a mutual love of the Bad Brains, Wizzleteat carve out a sound informed by groove from across the musical spectrum, whilst staying fully committed to heaviness, good times and volume. Thank you to the adventurous individuals who attended the Secret Show. Blindfolded throughout, the audience were guided through the city centre to a warehouse space where they witnessed the immersive sounds of internationally renowned sound artist Francisco Lopez in a scenario designed by artist James Webb.
Thanks to all who came out to last Friday’s sold out show with Grouper performing ‘Violet Replacement’. The show coincided with Fierce Festival’s opening weekend and was a very special evening, with excellent performances from Liz Harris (Grouper), Diamond Catalog and SWLLWS.

An incredible line up hits Birmingham on Wednesday 4th July. Call it an American Independence celebration – Unsane and Big Business will play The Rainbow Warehouse.
Unsane’s long awaited new album is complete and will be released in May, so here is your chance to hear new material from the NYC noise rock powerhouse. They’re joined by the ever brilliant Big Business.

We’re very excited to announce that everyone’s favourite slow and heavy band Harvey Milkwill play the Hare & Hounds on Tuesday 22nd May. Capsule coaxed the band out of the States back in 2008 to perform their very first show in the UK and we’re thrilled to have them back.
Before that, it’s all eyes on Friday and our very special show with Grouper. She will be performing her new piece ‘Violet Replacement’ with support from Diamond Catalog and a new piece bySWLLWS developed specially for this event. Admission includes entrance to the Fierce afterparty with live music from Harry Dawes Trio (featuring members of Pram and Juneau Brothers) and BOYD DJs into the wee hours. Doors are at 8pm, at VIVID. Hailing from Stourbridge near Birmingham, Adam Beckley uses field recordings and looped samples to create textures of sound, sometimes hypnotic noise, other times dreamy soundscapes.
Adam has released two tapes. The first called ‘Revere’ through the label ‘Carnage Club‘. The second and most recent release is a split tape with Los Angeles based musician Beru. This was put out on Adam’s own tape label ‘Armed Within Movement’ and is the first release for the label. You can listen to both these releases on the links below.
