Acid Mothers Temple

+ Nisennenmondai

As soon as ‘Acid Mother’s Temple’ took to the stage, a psychedelic sense immediately filled the room and the audience inside it. Higashi Hiroshi led his band and the audience into a peace V symbol, which concurred with the hippy-like experience that was about to take place. With his long hair and beard, Higashi became the symbol of peace himself. ‘Master of The Cosmic Inferno’ almost placed the audience into a psychedelic trance, whilst Kawabata Makoto’s guitar riff swept you into the relaxed state he was hoping for. The audience were then awoken from their daze intentionally by the two drummer’s fury. The first drummer, Pikachu, contributed to the band’s vocals. Her experimental screams were roughly influenced by that of Yoko Ono’s, whereas the rest of the Japanese rockers opted for a heavier theme. To insure that the ‘inferno’ was complete, Kawabata began his experimental guitar solos as well as working up the audience into a frenzy of excitement. His actions soon turned anarchistic as he began climbing on top of amps and hanging his guitar from the ceiling. This signified to the audience that the two hour set of exhilaration, mayhem and psychedelia was coming to an unavoidable finale. The peace V symbol returned once again and ended the pleasurable night in a warming manner.
