THESE ARMS ARE SNAKES + RAPIDER THAN HORSEPOWER + MAE SHI

|These Arms Are Snakes (members of Botch)
Rapider Than Horse Power
Mae  Shi

Born of the ashes of seminal art thrashers Botch and Minneapolis punk heroes Kill Sadie, Seattle’s These Arms are Snakes are fast-becoming an integral part of the Pacific Northwest’s ever-dynamic musical fabric. Employing sinister guitar licks mixed with equal parts snarly vocals and a pension for spaced out musical long form – has painted the buzz heavy Snakes as anything but conventional. The band has toured endlessly, plastering both coasts with their livid live shows and with their eyes squarely focused on progressing and challenging all the current notions of hardcore, These Arms are Snakes are now poised to take their game to the next level – bringing all the passion and promise of their previous endeavors to splendid completion.

RTH are members of racebannon and rep seki and come from
Bloomington,Indiana. They are playing some geeky avangarde post punk
influenced by bands like captain beefheart, pavement or les savy fav,but do
not sound like any of these bands at all. They do not sound like ANY
band.This is new,this is wild,this is poppy,this is just great !
MAE SHI toured with RTH across the Usa and became good friends of
them. Both bands will tour Europe between the 12th may and 12th june 2005 too.MAE SHI are from Los Angeles and play surprise music and are just influenced by homemade mixtapes and mainstream hip hop as they are by fat day or the ex.None of this X meets Y shit is gonna work though, because MAE SHI is a band that you will listen to more than talk about

Take their  cues from such post punk luminaries as devo and

Crystal Wrists
A band born in a small town. A place that sits in the  shadow
of churches, industrial blocks and neon lit underpasses seems
only  fitting for a band resonate of a darker yet possibly
more vital era.
There is an infection that lies in their sound. A drama, a design,
an art,  an honesty and a performance. Referencing bands such
as Bauhaus or The Psychedelic Furs

Born into an extremely devout but dysfunctional Pentecostal
family in Connecticut 1961, the young Ron Athey was raised to be a
minister and feted as a gift from God by the congregation. But
whilst this religious upbringing set the course for Athey’s life it
certainly wasn’t in the direction his family intended. Living in
Los Angeles, Athey became a self-harming heroin addict until
finding a channel for the pain and confusion of his childhood in
performance art works which have consistently challenged and
trounced taboos such as HIV, incest and
suicide – becoming one of the world’s most acclaimed and infamous
artists in the process.

Have you heard of them? This two guitar, one drummer, instrumental band is insane. The Champs are heirs to a long lineage beginning with Thin Lizzy and ending on the divergent ground of Carcass, Pussy Galore and Kraftwerk. Hailing from San Francisco, the sole aim of the “Kings of the Insanity Sound” is to set the audience soaring high on the wings of sorrow.

Featuring former members of The Nation of Ulysses, Hydrox, the Young Ginns, Taildragger, and The Event.

“The march of Templar Knights at twilight. Ritualistic subterranean
drift. The decay of cathedrals over eons. Unearthly Trance, formed in 2000 and comprised of members Darren Verni, Rion Lipynsky, and Jay Newman, unleash a frostbitten, apocalyptic vision with their brand of grim hypnotic doom. Blackened sound waves, lethargic riffs, and dire proclamations drone
from the void.” (Crucial Blast)

Unearthly Trance aka ‘The Humanless Cult’ will is poised to take on the world abroad in 2005 with an unprecedented ritualistic fury. BEWARE!

RAMESSES was born in England, February 2003. The seed of inspiration that gave birth to the band came from Mark Anthony Greening. Earlier during that bitter winter, he had parted ways with the band he’d drummed for since its creation, Electric Wizard, and wanted to continue to push his (now world famous) insanely creative drumming. Similarly, Tim Bagshaw, his long-time friend, had also left Electric Wizard, looking to leave behind what he saw as the boredom of the bass in favour of the guitar. Their departures shocked both the media and fans alike, who are still debating the reasons why…

PLOT TO BLOW UP THE EIFFEL TOWER
NOISE NOISE ALLORE!
seducedwomandead

The Plot to blow up the Eiffel Tower from San Diego California formed in 2001 with the distinct intention of branding their name on every kid’s lips. Their beginning stage as an inventive jazz-punk hybrid was strong and ever so cacophonous but was quickly abandoned for an all-smart version of punk; spit, attitude, and sexuality.

On the road with the likes of Q and not U, The Locust, and The Ex.

Their reputation for leaving people cheated or impregnated with obsession has now turned the world on it’s ears. For the Plot the payoff is big; “Love In The Fascist Brothel” has that magical quality that drives people on to the stage and into the sweaty dance pit every night

ELECTRIC WIZARD + CAPRICORNS + MISTRESS

After several months of speculation & uncertainty, the longstanding recording artists, Electric Wizard are now ready to officially unveil a new line up & announce a tour.

Following the departure of former drummer Mark Greening (drums), the band recruited the punishing skills of former Iron Monkey drummer Justin Greaves to fill the position behind the kit.

Jus Oborn decided to recruit the services of a second guitarist, Liz Buckingham, who had previously played with legendary cult all girl New York Doom/Crust band 13 and more recently with Southern Lord recording artists Sourvein. Filling in the bass position is friend of the band Rob Al-Issa.

At last, an ensemble from the UK underground that is challenging, Fresh & invigorating; emerging from the granite wastes of London, England comes the towering behemoth known as Capricorns.

The recent history begins in early Spring2003 when Nathan Bennett & Kevin Williams (current members of renowned soundscape rock outfit Bridge & Tunnel) realised they were both desperately seeking a proper conduit for their surfeit metal influences. After a few brief writings sessions they felt they had enough basicmaterial to warrant enlisting their long time friends Dean Berry(formerly of Iron Monkey) on bass and Chris Turner (from Orange Goblin) behind the kit.

Formed in Birmingham during 1999, MISTRESS have released two albums to date Ñ “Mistress” and “The Chronovisor” Ñ to rave reviews and have gigged with the likes of NAPALM DEATH, MAYHEM, ELECTRIC WIZARD, BOLT THROWER and EXTREME NOISE TERROR. Their hard-to-pin-down sound comes across as a sickening sludge/grind/doom hybrid, reminsicent of the early U.K. grind scene of the late ’80s and early ’90s, and has been described as “a vile musical bastard, a bilious, screaming, snot-faced sludge orphan with all the taste and decorum of a sexual encounter in Wormwood Scrubbs.”

ISIS + JESU + KILL THE THRILL

Isis
Jesu (ex Godflesh)
+ Guests

ISIS – This is an amazing heavy music masterpiece. It’s the kind of hard rock that seems straightforward enough at first listen – heavy riffs, window-rattling rhythms and guttural, forceful vocals. Upon closer inspection, however, much more about the music of Isis becomes clear; this is deep dark stuff that must be delved into without reservation before its intricate details are revealed. Aside from “Maritime” – which is mostly an open, airy and decidedly not heavy little ditty – the majority of Oceanic is hard, loud and even brutal. But subtlety and nuance are concepts that this band is obviously familiar with. For every passage of bone-crushing metal-esque rock, there is a powerful underpinning line of sonic harmony, something that takes the rough edge off the rugged sound and provides a steadfast but flexible accent that polishes the sound without making it slick. – Max Sidman

Drawing comparisons to Neurosis and Godflesh, but unique in its own right, ISIS is a visual and sonic experience of sludgy metal, noise, electronics, and ambience that must be heard to understand.
